It is elementary, my dear Watson… @Penang Transport Master Plan: A scandal in the making?

The DAP-led govt. should make Penanag a Chinese stronghold by encouraging mass migration of Chinese from other parts of Malaysia. It will entrench the DAP-led govt as well as provide a congenial home for the much discriminated Chinese in Malaysia.

The economic sector will have to be expanded through FDI, among others, including tourism. Penanag has the potential to be another Singapore.

How realistic will it be for 300,000 people to be living in these reclaimed islands in a few decades when it took 200 years for Penang Island’s population to reach the present 800,000 people? Why is the Penang state government not questioning these results?

The only way for justice is via an armed revolution @Federal Court rejects Anwar’s final attempt at freedom

The Agong is nothing but a puppet of UMNO so he will do nothing. He, like the rest of the sultans, depend on the UMNO-led govt. for lucrative contracts for themselves and their families.

Following dismissal of the judicial case review, former opposition leader’s only option for freedom now is a royal pardon.

PAS, the Talibans of M’sia are caught in a time warp

Meanwhile, Khalid also attacked the traditional Malay attire worn by Nik Mohamad Abduh and several other PAS leaders during the first day of the PAS Youth muktamar.

“One sign of a drunk person is that he thinks he is living in a different time.“We are in the 21st century but you come to a formal event dressed like a Malay warrior from the 14th century. This person is drunk,” he exclaimed.

Flower in Prison: Kdramas have bad endings. Why? (spoilers)

It is actually 51 episodes and overall I enjoyed the drama but the ending sucks. I would have preferred to see Ok Nyeo live in the palace, as a princess, and married to Tae Won. She could still supervise the legal aid from there. Instead, there she was, running around in middle class clothes handling court cases.

What a bummer! Otherwise I would have enjoyed it 99%.

Time to check back in with MBC’s upcoming “adventure sageuk” drama Flower in Prison, for which we now have a handful of teasers. It’s not the kind of drama that usually captures my interest, in that it’s 51 episodes and on the weekends (weekend sageuks have a different flavor from the flashier, more fusion-styled ones […]

Uneducated, white and old are Trump’s, the bastard, supporter

The poll found that the 70-year-old New York tycoon was leading among white men, whites without a college degree, and elderly citizens. Ms Clinton leads among women, African Americans and younger voters, and she has an edge among whites with a college degree. Meanwhile, RealClearPolitics, which collates all polls, says that the lead is more modest – just 1.8 per cent.

“Flower in Prison”: King Myeongjong, useless piece of shit

Watch free, Ep.50 recap and comments

My comment:

This drama really portrayed King Myeongjong in a very bad light. While his people were being killed and tortured, all he did was lie in bed, after having threatened to abdicate.

He had good people, like OK-Nyeo, around him but being weak, not in the physical sense since he was sickly, he could not turn things around quickly enough. He lacked the ruthlessness to become an effective king.

History also told us that he had only one consort who bore him a prince which died young. Strange that he had no concubines to bear him more sons. Maybe he had weak sperm count and could not easily produce children since he had only one child with his Queen.

I think Myeongjong was among the worst kings in Korean history. They all sucked anyway but he was among the worst.

Recap by Campus Connection

Taking advantage of the King’s weakened condition, Lord Yoon tortures all those who have been arrested, including Sung Ji Heon and Chief Kang.
The soldiers put up wanted posters of Ok Nyeo and Tae Won all over the capital; they also raid Sosoru.
The King visits the ailing Queen Mother in her quarters; while there, he remembers his youthful days as a King with the Queen Mother acting as regent.
While Jung Nan Jung and Lord Yoon plan how to protect themselves, Ok Nyeo and Tae Won ask Gong Jae Myung and the merchants to gather all of their fighting men.
Ok Nyeo asks the damo at the Queen Mother’s quarters to give through Lady Han a letter for the King. But on her way to see Lady Han, the damo is recognized and accosted by the Queen Mother’s bodyguard.
